Angela is Assistant Professor at the Department of Geography and Geology in the University of Salzburg.
His main research interest are characterizing and modelling societal water metabolism across spatial and functional scales. Remote sensing and Geographic Information System (GIS) technology is key to analyse synoptic and multi-scalar data on spatial arrangement, distribution and patterns of resources and resource use. Another recent focus of research is on urban ecosystem services and biodiversity, in particular the societal challenges of climate change adaptation and mitigation in urban areas and the role of optimized and novel urban ecosystems, in particular urban green infrastructure and trees adapted to climate change, for smarter and more resilient cities.
